Position

Our current opening is for a Generator Service Technician. Technician will be responsible for providing customers with the highest quality service possible in an efficient and timely manner while assuring customer satisfaction.  

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge on troubleshooting and performing maintenance on standby power generators, and related automatic transfer switches.

  • Technician will be assigned contract accounts that they will be responsible for by fulfilling the scope of the service contract as well as time and material calls, this includes performing preventive maintenance inspections per the schedule and responding to service calls.

  • Technician may be required to assist with the installation of a system addition or retrofit of their customers system.

  • Technician will also be required to serve as a back up to other accounts in the event primary tech is unavailable.

  • Technician is responsible for filling out all required paperwork including time sheets and work-orders. All documentation should be detailed, as it will be used to generate reports and invoices to the customer.

  • The service technician will be included in the on-call duty rotation and will provide customer support during non business hours as needed. This support will also carry over to support the on-call technician in the event a problem arises with his service account.

Experience and Skills:

  • Job performance will require a valid driver’s license, ability to work in maintenance spaces that are sometimes difficult to access and might have demanding environmental conditions, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds overhead
  • Must be flexible while maintaining a professional attitude
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Company vehicle, uniforms, specialty tools, training and support provided for the right person to succeed in this challenging career field
