Job Description:

Based in Lenexa Kansas with offices in Jefferson City, Springfield, St Louis Missouri, and Wichita Kansas. The C&C Group is an integrator of a variety of manufacturers products on construction and service projects of all sizes for a diverse clientele. We offer extensive design, consultation, programming, installation, commissioning and service expertise for Access Control, CCTV, HVAC Controls, Fire Safety Systems, Wireless Networks, Network Services, Emergency Power Generators, and Access Flooring. We currently seek individuals to fill the Operations Manager position in our Springfield, Missouri location.

The Operations Manager will function as a team leader for construction an field service groups. The position will also be accountable for development, implementation and coordination of departmental strategic objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist project managers, as needed, with the implementation of the project. May be responsible for project management on certain projects based on workload.

  • Hold project managers and field personnel accountable for quality and performance as related to any project they are involved with.
  • Assist service coordinator and/or project manager, as needed, with completing work sold.

  • Interface between service manager, project manager, and construction sales reps, as needed, to resolve any disputes, questions, or problems.

  • Organize weekly scheduling meeting with field supervisors, engineering staff and project managers to coordinate manpower requirements for all projects. Schedule will reflect all projects currently in progress, and projects sold but not yet in progress.

  • Review sales CRM for projects that are awaiting booking paperwork to account for in schedules.

  • Provide labor and schedule report to help coordinate the sales efforts around our workload. Attend scheduled sales meetings to address upcoming projects and schedules.

  • Receive and review cost reports for service and construction projects including cost of completions, final billings results of quoted work, and warranty work. Review reports with General Manager.

  • Review proper project closeout procedures to ensure all final documents are complete and turned over in a timely manner.

  • Ensure proper information is being maintained in the job accounting system.

  • Work with General Manager to review current operating procedures and look for improvement in efficiencies without sacrificing quality or customer service.

Job Requirements:

  • The ability to read and understand engineered drawings and specifications covering low voltage systems.

  • Previous experience in the fire alarm or other low voltage industries such as access control, CCTV, IT infrastructure or other.

  • Previous experience in commercial electrical estimating would be helpful

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel and Word)

  • The use of CAD based software

  • Ability to work on several projects at a time under deadlines

  • Previous sales experience in providing and proposing custom service agreements would be a plus

  • Attention to detail and the ability to interact with customers

Experience and Skills:

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; four (4) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems, and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
